Site History
I recently finished my redesign of gkoberger.net, but I didn't want to completely lose old versions of the site. So, I figured I'd post a few old versions, just so they weren't lost forever. Hopefully this layout lasts a bit longer than the previous ones- it took me 6 months (on and off, of course), so it better last a while.
The Original Version
The original version of the site was mostly so I had the domain, and it was used as a place for me to store files or small projects. There was no main page- I decided this should change, however, and created a blog template for it. The layout was finished, but I never posted any actual content.

The First Portfolio
When it came time to start applying for co-ops, I figured the site could use a face-lift. It would be nice to have somewhere I could show off what I've done, along with a resume and blog. So, I came up with this design. It's "minimalistic" (which is an artsy way of saying "plain"), and contained some text describing myself ("web developer", portfolio; "unemployed", resume; "bored", blog; and "interesting", about me).
Main page for the first real layout
My portfolio was split into three sections, and used a ton of JavaScript (although it degraded gracefully, of course). The biggest problem was that there were three categories with four items each- so some categories didn't have enough in them, and others had stuff missing. Things couldn't be in more than one category, and visiting any project required at least three clicks.
